Group/Division With over 40 years of semiconductor process control
experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that
their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production
quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards
advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is
responsible for creating all of KLA's metrology and inspection
products, is looking for the best and the brightest research
scientist, software engineers, application development engineers,
and senior product technology process engineers. The Broadband
Plasma Division (BBP) provides market-leading patterned wafer
optical inspection systems for leading-edge IC manufacturing.
Logic, foundry, and memory customers depend on BBP products to
detect yield-critical defects for process debug and excursion
monitoring at advanced process nodes. BBP flagship products include
the 29xx and 39xx series which leverage Broadband Plasma technology
to capture a wide range of defects with ultimate sensitivity at the
optical inspection speeds needed for inline defect monitoring.Job
Description/Preferred QualificationsDevelop light source to enable
next generation of wafer inspection tools; evaluate feasibility and
scalability of source technology; perform experiments and data
analysis; design experiments to select architecture and validate
critical building blocks for the next generation source; formulate
solutions; lead technical engagement with partners.Qualifications /
Education Desired: 1. Experience with plasma-based light sources,
source metrology and plasma spectroscopy2. Experience with
pulsed-power driven experiments3. Experience with high-voltage
systems4. Vacuum systems management, including notion of design
principles of vacuum systems along with operating and fixing of
vacuum equipment5. Operation of high-power lasers and knowledge of
laser-safety protocols for class IV lasers, experience with laser
alignment and diagnostics6. Familiarity with damage studies of
optical components as well as materials damaged by optical
radiation7. Hands-on experience in optics and mechatronics,
expertise in design of optical systems8. Knowledge of data
acquisition and control approaches9. Proficiency in data analysis
and root cause analysis10. Coordination and project
managementMinimum Qualifications:Doctorate or equivalent in any of
the following fields: Plasma physics, Atomic Physics, Electrical
Engineering, Laser Physics, Optics, Engineering Physics or
similar.Minimum QualificationsDoctorate (Academic) or work
experience of 3 years, Master's Level Degree or work experience of
6 years, Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 8 yearsThe
